Helping Educators Do Their Work Better
Corwin Press was established in 1990 as an affiliate of SAGE Publications to provide solutions for those serving the field of K–12 education. Since that time, we have expanded our practice-oriented publications to cover PreK–12, ranging from very practical, experiential-based manuals to more reflective or research-based books. Our extensive booklist targets school principals, administrators, specialists, teachers, and other educational practitioners at one end of the continuum, to teacher educators and advanced–level students at the other.
Our mission is to offer practical, hands–on resources to help education professionals do their work better — and, in the process, help advance the field and improve education for all learners. At Corwin Press, we are responsive to the needs of our readers, the constructive criticism of our reviewers, and the preferences of our authors.
A Corwin Press book is:
- Based on theory and research, but draws on real–world examples and practices
- Content–rich and immediately useful with practical, hands–on advice
- Clearly written, straightforward, and to the point
- Peer–reviewed to ensure applicability and quality
Corwin Press is dedicated to creating bright futures for learners in today’s PreK–12 classrooms. This commitment also means ensuring a clean, healthy environment by actively encouraging eco-friendly practices throughout our company such as recycling, using recyclable packaging materials, and educating our employees on ways they can participate.
As you look through the books and accompanying products we are offering, we think you will find that Corwin Press is continuing our unyielding dedication to providing solutions for PreK–12 educators. We want to be your partner in making a difference in education!
