Substantial Content Revisions

The second edition of Worksheets Don't Grow Dendrites is structurally the same as the first edition. The chapter order has not changed and the sections within each chapter are the same. However, new or revised material has been added to every individual section of each chapter. Each chapter's opening section, titled “What: Defining the Strategy,” has been revised or completely rewritten to describe the strategy and illustrate how it can be used. New information about the reasons for using each strategy has been added to the section “Why: Research Rationale,” and more current research has been cited. In addition, the examples in “How: Instructional Activities” have been expanded and revised. This is most noticable in Chapter 16, "Technology," corresponding with the tremendous growth in the classroom use of technology since the first edition was published. Lastly, Marcia Tate has added resource materials at the end of the book to provide additional teaching methods and to help teachers design brain-compatible lessons.
