Presented by Paul Bloomberg & Barb Pitchford
Empower students and teachers to take charge of their learning and build a culture of efficacy!
Impact Teams (a form of PLCs) are teams of educators committed to understanding their impact on student learning by focusing on critical learning goals, analyzing evidence, and taking collective action. In this webinar, Paul Bloomberg and Barb Pitchford will define the Impact Teams model, discuss the research behind it, and share two foundational protocols for leading Impact Teams.
You will learn:
- how Impact Teams support collaborative learning around the formative assessment process in the classroom
- how Impact Teams focus on developing teacher skills and practices in how to partner with students in learning
- the four sources of efficacy and how to plan for and build efficacy schoolwide for students, teachers, and teams
- that Impact Teams operationalize the highest influences on student achievement: developing assessment capable learners, collective teacher efficacy, formative evaluations, microteaching, classroom discussion, and feedback
