Lauren Armijo

Lauren Armijo, Ed.D., is currently the Director of Elementary Education for Hemet Unified School District, where she leads curriculum and instruction for Preschool–Grade 8, oversees Dual Language Immersion programs, and manages districtwide professional learning. She was previously an elementary teacher, assistant principal, and principal, where she implemented evidence-based instructional frameworks, strengthened Tier 1 instruction, and improved literacy and mathematics outcomes across all student groups. She holds a multiple-subject teaching credential, an administrative services credential, a Master’s in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Instructional Technology, and earned her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University. She has led districtwide curriculum adoptions, strengthened district systems to improve instruction across all three tiers, expanded developmentally appropriate and play-based learning in Transitional Kindergarten, and facilitated professional learning using The Teacher Clarity Playbook and PLC+. She currently coaches principals and applies improvement methodologies such as action planning and PDSA cycles to drive instructional change and leadership growth. Lauren has presented at regional and national conferences, including the U.S. Department of Education’s From Recovery to Thriving Summit and RCOE’s Passport to Literacy. She is dedicated to supporting educators in building instructional clarity, collaborative practices, and leadership capacity at both site and district levels to ensure equitable outcomes for all students.
